Need Suggestion From Fellow Griller. [May. 16th, 2007|04:11 pm]
Asia Grill Inc.
Last week was my second time eaten at Asia Grill, and I LOVE it!  Twice, I had Scallion Pancakes as appetizer and Pad Thai for meal.    I swear that I have eaten in so many Asian restaurants and I conclude (personally believe) this is the BEST ever.  The upcoming Memorial Day Weekend, I will be hosting a 30 people backyard party, and I am planning to order from Asia Grill for catering.  Since everything looks very nice and the fact that I am still a newbie, I need some good advices from some experience Asia Grillers on what is best to order for a party from Asia Grill.  Thanks a million!

BTW, I am looking foward to graduate from Asia Grill.

Mee Krob Tangy & Sweet Thai Chicken Salad:
Crazy tasty and addictive! I had it yesterday with grilled shrimp and today with the actual chicken. Yummy! It has a sweet plum sauce and it's on top pf crispy rice noodley goodness!
Warning: contains prunes. (youloveyourpooinducingsalad!)

California Roll Salad:
Very tasty salad, but not so filling.. better as PART of a meal and not a main course. I only had it once though, so I have to try it again... ugh... now I'm hungry thinkin about it!

Just a heads up that the new menu items have now become available for eatin! I tried the new "California Roll Salad" and it was scrumpt-didiley-umtious! It's small though so it's not enough for a meal.. But it's yummers! And afterlifekid tried the "Grilled Maple Orange Glaze Chickne" (yes.. it says "chickne" on the menu. Shutupyoulovechickne!) but it was a trick because they just renamed the dish from the old menu that was previously entitled "Grilled Honey Lime Chicken". Very tricky Chan.. very tricky indeed.

I'm looking forward to trying the "Mee Krob Tangy & Sweet Thai Chicken Salad" next. I like things that are tangy and sweet.

Okay.. apparently I suck at giving proper menu item reviews :P

My Grill Testimonial [Feb. 24th, 2007|03:19 pm]

I honestly believe that eating Asia Grill has a healing effect on me. Not only does it have a healing effect on my body, but it has a healing effect on my soul :P

I had been sick with a nasty cold the past few days (probably because my immune system was compromised from lack of grill all week) and once I had my medicine (Chan's healing food) I immediately felt better! I can't explain it.. I just instantly felt better. Like my body was telling me "thank you for this healing food".

Okay.. enough gushing... :P

So it turns out Asia Grill has been open since Tuesday night, but I had no idea cus I was being good and patient and not peeking in.. SO that was 3 unnecessary dinner meals of suffering when I could have had Asia Grill :( Oh well. But it's okay.. I wold have felt bad eating there and seeing the new place without mitchy22. I wish we could have seen afterlifekid and Nicky there.. but we got there really late .. We closed out the place :)

So they really didn't make too many changes that customer can see.. mostly stuff downstairs.. But I like the colors now.. much more pleasing to the eye. But the walls look so blank! I miss Margie's photography! But yeah.. Chan said they are still doing more little things.. I'm just glad that horrific Kraft macaroni and cheese color is gone form the walls!

Okay.. I think that's enough babbling. I'm glad my home away from home is open again and I'm looking forward to many fun and delicious dining experiences with you all!

Get your new & improved Grill on! [Feb. 23rd, 2007|03:57 pm]

Just a reminder (not that you needed one.. I'm sure the withdrawal and hunger pains have been reminder enough) that Asia Grill will be reopening today! :) It's been a difficult 10 days, but we all somehow survived the famine. I wonder if the new menus are in yet or if those come later. mitchy22 and I only peeked in the place ONCE during construction (last week) so it will definitely be a surprise. I was tempted to peek in all week, but I wanted some suspense. We'll be there sometime later tonight (like 8 or 9ish) for a late celebratory grilling.. if anyone wants to join us (and by anyone, I mean afterlifekid ;)

Welcome back AG!

Announcement! [Jan. 8th, 2007|03:46 pm]
Asia Grill Inc.

Exciting news for all you grillers!

Asia Grill will be renovating the establishment! mitchy22 and I were there eating dinner a few nights ago and there were guys there that Chan was discussing construction with! They weren't speaking English, so it was hard to eavesdrop.. But we saw hand gestures and we talked to Chan after and he even asked us for our opinions! I suggested putting in booths. He said he definitely wants to install some kind of counter with stools since it's a "noodle bar" and he wants to make a "grab and go" section where you can pick up take out from a fridge. It sounded like he is going to change the menu again too (afterlifekid gave the heads up on that). He mentioned more "fusion" inspired dishes.

I wonder if they will be putting in any kind of climate control. I told Chan we'd still come in to eat even if they are in the middle of construction :P

Asia Grill in lights [Jul. 3rd, 2006|06:47 pm]

[Current Mood |tiredtired]

I had a dream a few nights ago that I was riding a bike past Asia Grill and notice they had neon signs in the windows. Everything else was dark, but Asia Grill was bright and busy with people.

So what do you think? Asia Grill could use a neon sign? Possibly a circular logo with a rice bowl?

Asia Grill has a brand spankin new menu! And it is BEAUTIMOUS!!!!

It has a sleek new look, with hip new fonts, new colors, and it's easier to read. It really is a work of art! And there are some changes.. No more Jack-in-the-Box.. Instead, you can take any entree and add lil sides to it for 50 cent more (up to 2 sides I think) and they all come with your choice of Jasmine or brown rice. The choices of sides were gyoza, edamame, salad, and cheese wonton(?).

And there is a new section entitled "STIR CRAZY"! Hehe. You "build your own noodle stir fry" in an itemized 4 step process where you choose your meat, noodle, veggies, and sauce.. and then Chan does his magic!

There are also new additions, like some new appetizers and dishes made with Tilapia (one of my favourite types of fishies!). There seems to be less salmon items though (I only saw one) and no more Red Snapper.

There are probably a few new entrees scattered in the menu that I haven't recognized yet.. I will have to carefully inspect the menu more...

There is definitely a new appetizer I can't wait to try called "Vegetarian Brown Rice Rolls", but they are not available yet :(

(Hopefully one of you grillers with a scanner can attempt to scan it in??) ;)
